The avant-garde film and video artist Karimah Ashadu, ars viva prize artist and Breckwoldt Foundation Hamburg artist-in-resident, presents new site specific artworks at Kunstverein Hamburg, Klosterwall 23, 20095 Hamburg. "I have been familiar with Ashadu’s impressive work since 2017, The Breckwoldt Foundation Curator, Dr. Barbara Aust-Wegemund, explains, "Karimah Ashadu is a young British-Nigerian artist who has created a collection of profound films over the last 9 years centered on themes of labour and patriarchy in Nigeria.
